A Day in Wilmington...

We spent the day in Wilmington on Saturday - it was such a beautiful day to be outside by the water! We had alot planned for the day, which included helping Nicole do some decorating around her house. We decided to go visit downtown Wilmington first, where we parked on the top parking deck and took this picture! We enjoyed buying some fresh goat cheese and strawberries from local vendors. Later we went to a favored coffee shop for brunch.

Car show...

While in downtown Wilmington, we had the opportunity to check out an antique car show! Ana was in heaven when she came across cars that she hadn't seen since living in Africa. Here is a picture of Ana beside a 1960 French made Citroen, a car she had the opportunity to drive while living in Africa. It is so bare basics! The seats resemble lawn chairs and are removable! With a good screw driver, I believe you can take the car completely apart :-) This convertible has a tarp-like top that fastens from the front to the rear of the car. And yes, I think it is quite an ugly car. But Ana told the owner and me that the Citroens she saw in Africa were lime green and bright orange! Well I guess that changes things abit :-)

Another car from the past...

This old 1978 British Land Rover took Ana Maria back to her days living in Africa. She told us that she drove one similar to this one, but it was a little shorter. And of course, I don't think plants grew out from the hood (or bonnet) :-)
