Our Trees This Year...

I thought it a nice idea to showplace the Christmas trees of our daughters-- and ours. Last year, Ana and I had only a small 12 inch tree (hardly did the trick). We decided we needed a larger one this year. One day, when the grandkids are old enough to notice, we had better have a notable tree this time of year:-) The top tree pictured here is ours; the second one is Natalie and Judson's; the 3rd one is Meredith and Alexes'; the bottom is Nicoles. All quite beautiful!

Now that's what I'm talk'n about!

We had a great Christmas dinner at work today-lots of delicous food! For dessert I cut a slice of this amazingly delicious cake! Donnie's mother-in-law made it totally from scratch. Even the icing was from scratch. I think we counted 13 layers! It was so good, every bite brought tears to my eyes:)

Is it just me? Or is this just the most beautiful baby in the world? :-) You can't tell from the picture, but I'm actually holding her :-)

Ringing the Bell...

It was a cold day today! But we had a heart-warming time ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Ana Maria and I enjoy dressing in 1860's garb and singing Christmas carols for the passersby. It was wonderful to witness the spirit of giving as busy shoppers paused to drop money into our kettle. May God bless each and everyone!
