Painted this afternoon...

There is an old farm about 7 miles west of Jacksonville that I've noticed through the years. I always thought the old buildings would make a nice subject for a painting. Some of the barns are about to fall down now, I'm afraid. I was able to paint this pastel today, using one of those old barns as my inspiration. Actually, the barn pictured here is in alot better shape than the one it is representing.. :-)

Your painting brought a tear to my eye because the color and style reminds me of my uncle's paintings. He's gone on to be with the Lord but the reminder of his God-given talent is very nice. Beautiful painting; thanks for sharing it.
